I won’t complain. I won’t say I didn’t expect it. I won’t face it with fear. It gave me a choice, and I chose to accept. Life unexpected, living on the fringe, on the border between normal and new. Adventure.
My heart chose love rather than fear. It chose a man, a new way of life. Hope. It chose the unpredictable. Faith and trust. It chose courage over risk and strength over ease. It chose a Lineman.
This is not a normal life. It is beyond average. Mediocrity was never my goal, yet this is not quite what I expected. I knew my life would not be normal, that it would not fit any definition with which I was familiar, yet it still caught me by surprise. And it was more than I ever could have imagined.
So here’s to a life surrendered to adventure. Surrendered to the unknown. Surrendered to unconditional love. Here’s to life with a Lineman and the challenges of living on the road. Here’s to dreaming and working and dreaming some more. This is my life, and these are the terms, my pact with adventure.
